Auto Assault TCG Draft Basic Training

In Auto Assault TCG constructed play, there are many parameters for building a deck. For example, the cards you use can’t conflict with your vehicle’s Faction or Class. But what if this rule was removed? What if you could put a Doom Cannon on a Human bike, Mutant van, or Scav Sucka? All of these (save for the last one – a Sucka with a Doom Cannon simply isn’t safe) can occur when entering the world of Auto Assault draft format. |

Mission-completion decks, by nature, are defensive. This can be largely attributed to their early lives as young decklings, constantly being bullied into insecurity by more aggressive decks (Terminators can be so cruel). They tend to have no intent of destroying the enemy vehicle – instead, their goal is to simply survive while breezing through missions in order to secure victory. |

Early on, the Auto Assault TCG designers had a case of "mine fields" on the brain. Without having consulted one another, they concoted three separate card ideas that each used the concept of portraying a "mine field" in their placeholder titles. Each idea was distinct enough that they all made it into the final set. Once matched up to more appropriate subject matter within the world of Auto Assault, those cards became Canyon Run Race, Desperate Assault, and Chemical Valley Patrol. |
